I just can’t live without a microwave!
And why I am saying this is because last week only, my microwave stopped
working. However, I thank God for microwave repair service in Delhi
NCR that
send their representatives at the earliest to fix all kinds of issues. I also
dialled few numbers here and there and got my microwave back in the running
condition in a day’s time. I am a working woman whose life seems to be
dependent on home appliances, especially my microwave for food. And this is
when I got to know the working behind the microwave and how to take care of it.
A microwave oven uses radio waves at a specifically set frequency to agitate
water molecules in food. As these water molecules get increasingly agitated,
they begin to vibrate at the atomic level and generate heat. This heat is what
actually cooks food in the oven. Because all particles in the food are
vibrating and generating heat at the same time, food cooked in the microwave
cooks much more swiftly than food cooked in a conventional oven where heat must
slowly travel from the outside surface of the food inward. The same radio waves
that cook your food pass harmlessly through plastics, glass and ceramics. It is
this characteristic that keeps plastic plates from melting and glasses from
exploding. It is also this feature of microwaves that makes them so energy
efficient; they heat only the food and nothing more.Metals, on the other hand,
reflect these radio waves, a characteristic very cleverly put to use in the
walls of the microwave such that no waves escape and cook anyone in the
kitchen.

The Technology Behind A Microwave Is Nothing Less Than Brilliant

Microwave Issues Are Repairable So That Your Dearest Appliance Stays For Long
The microwave oven was patented in 1946
and the first microwave hit the market by 1947. The first microwave, called the
Radarange, was 6 feet tall and weighed over 750 pounds. When the microwave
initially hit the market, it was used mainly in restaurants, railroad cars and ocean liners, where large quantities of food needed
to be cooked quickly. The first version of the microwave was not at all conducive
to a kitchen setting as its expense and large size made it unpopular for the
average citizen. That was, until the Tappan Stove Company came up with a
smaller, less expensive version of the Microwave.
Many businesses realized the
potential of a smaller sized microwave and hoped that it would take off in
households around the country. In 1955, Tappan Stove Company put its first
microwave on the market. It was 24 inches and a little less cost wise. Ten
years later, by 1965, Tappan Stove Company put on the market the first
combination conventional range and microwave oven. By 1975, the sales of the
microwave oven exceeded gas range ovens for the first time and by 1976, the microwave
was in 60% of homes. Despite the success of the microwave oven, alternatives
were always present and still remain. Alternatives to the microwave include convection
ovens, toaster ovens and the stovetops. Other less known alternatives include
the turbo oven and other alternatives are being produced to this day. But
microwave reigns the modern day kitchens and as soon as people face any issue
with their dearest appliance, they look for microwave repair services in Delhi
NCR.
A common myth is that microwave cooking
is unsafe and unhealthy and you actually lose vitamins in microwave cooking
that you would not lose using microwave alternatives. But this has been proven
to be untrue by the FDA who admits that microwave cooking is safe, provided it
is done in the correct manner.

Microwave Is The VIP Of Every Modern Kitchen
It is believed that microwave is among
the greatest inventions of the 1900’s. The microwave makes cooking easier and
better. It is considered to be a VIP of the kitchen and
has become an indispensable part of new age kitchens. Microwave cooking makes
for faster and easier to clean up meals, ideal for the working woman. Studies
show that as the female work force increased the consumption of frozen rather
than fresh foods due to convenience, the use of microwaves increased, creating
newer industries. A direct correlation existed between the increase in sales of
the microwave oven and an increase in the home care repair and processed food
industries. Pre-cooked meals and snacks like microwavable popcorn and
microwavable dinners became popular for people on the run.
